Work in the Adaptation and Community Equipment section.
-
Assess the needs of people and carers regarding moving and handling or other specialized transfer equipment.
-
Create comprehensive moving and handling plans/risk assessments to guide Care and Support teams, community health professionals, and care providers.
-
Conduct person-centered functional assessments and recommend equipment and low/medium-level adaptations.
-
Assess accessibility issues, including parking, to inform Disabled Parking Bay Scheme allocations.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 09:00 – 15:00
Skills/Experience Required:
-
Experience in occupational therapy, moving and handling, or community equipment assessments.
-
Ability to produce detailed risk assessments and care recommendations.
-
Person-centered approach with good communication skills.
