Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6 Physiotherapist for a locum role within North East London NHS. This position sits within an Integrated Health Team, delivering community-based physiotherapy services to adults with stroke and neurological conditions.
The Physiotherapist will provide high-quality assessments and short-term rehabilitation programmes, supporting individuals within the community to improve functional ability and independence. The role involves managing a complex caseload autonomously while contributing to multidisciplinary team discussions and service development.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out physiotherapy assessments for adults with stroke and neurological conditions.
- Deliver short-term rehabilitation and management programmes within community settings.
- Manage a complex caseload as an autonomous practitioner.
- Apply specialist knowledge in neurological and stroke rehabilitation.
- Participate in complex clinical discussions and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Support and supervise junior staff where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to data collection and audits.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives, including SSNAP audits.
About You
You will be a qualified Physiotherapist with experience in neurological and stroke
rehabilitation, ideally within community services. You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning
skills and the ability to manage complex cases independently.
You will also be confident working within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical discussions,
and supporting the development of junior staff.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience in stroke and neurological rehabilitation.
- Experience working within community physiotherapy services desirable.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload autonomously.
- Knowledge of SSNAP audits desirable.
- Strong IT skills for data entry and clinical documentation.
- Experience supporting or supervising junior staff.
