Brief Job Overview
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to support adult inpatients across the COE wards at Lewisham Hospital. This is a proactive, hands-on role focused on rehabilitation, risk identification and minimisation, and effective discharge planning within a busy acute hospital environment.
You will work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, flexing your input to meet service demand and supporting high-quality patient flow and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive occupational therapy input for adult patients requiring intervention on COE wards.
- Undertake functional assessments to support rehabilitation and recovery.
- Identify and minimise risks to support safe care and timely discharge.
- Contribute to effective discharge planning in partnership with the multidisciplinary team.
- Flex across the wider team as required to support caseload pressures.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
- Support colleagues and contribute positively to team-based working.
