Tripod Partners are recruiting an Occupational Therapist for a locum role within West Midlands Social Care. This position focuses on delivering enablement assessments for adults within community settings, supporting individuals to regain independence and improve daily functioning.
The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively to develop enablement plans and guide Enablement Officers in delivering targeted interventions. The role supports individuals to achieve practical outcomes through short-term, goal-focused support.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out occupational therapy enablement assessments for adults in the community.
- Develop and implement enablement plans to support independence.
- Provide instruction and guidance to Enablement Officers on intervention delivery.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated care.
- Support individuals to achieve functional goals and improve daily living outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements.
About You
You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience working within
adult social care or enablement services. You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning
skills and the ability to support individuals in achieving independence.
You will be confident working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting frontline staff to deliver
effective enablement interventions.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience within adult social care or enablement services.
- Ability to undertake assessments and develop enablement plans.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
