Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting an Occupational Therapist for a locum role within Yorkshire Social Services. This position focuses on delivering specialist occupational therapy interventions using an Ayres Sensory Integration approach.

The Occupational Therapist will work closely with individuals and carers to assess needs and develop strengths-based, outcome-focused interventions that support independence, wellbeing, and daily functioning. The role involves managing a varied caseload and delivering specialist sensory integration support within social care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out occupational therapy assessments using an Ayres Sensory Integration approach.
• Work collaboratively with individuals and carers to identify needs and goals.
• Develop strengths-based and outcome-focused support plans.
• Manage a caseload independently, ensuring effective use of time and resources.
• Support individuals to develop and maintain independence and wellbeing.
• Assess physiological, psychological, environmental, and social needs.
• Provide interventions for complex cases where individuals may be at risk without support.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in line with statutory and professional standards.

About You

You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with specialist knowledge and 
experience in Ayres Sensory Integration. You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning 
skills and the ability to deliver person-centred interventions within social care settings.

You will be confident managing a caseload independently and working collaboratively with individuals, 
carers, and multidisciplinary professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Ayres Sensory Integration qualification (essential).
• Experience delivering sensory integration interventions.
• Enhanced DBS with Barred List check (essential).
• Strong communication, organisational, and caseload management skills.
