Tripod Partners are recruiting a Physiotherapist for a locum role within North East NHS. This position focuses on delivering specialist Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy within Community Assessment Days (CAD), supporting individuals experiencing long-term MSK-related conditions impacting work and daily function.
The Physiotherapist will work at an advanced clinical level as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Occupational Therapists and Social Prescribers, delivering holistic assessments and contributing to integrated care planning aimed at improving health, independence, and work capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced specialist MSK physiotherapy assessments and interventions.
- Support individuals with long-term MSK conditions and reduced work capacity.
- Contribute to Community Assessment Days through holistic patient assessments.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists and Social Prescribers.
- Develop and contribute to integrated care and rehabilitation plans.
- Support patients in improving functional ability and returning to work where appropriate.
- Manage complex and persistent musculoskeletal conditions using evidence-based practice.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.
About You
You will be an experienced Physiotherapist with a strong background in
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy and complex case management. You will demonstrate advanced
clinical reasoning skills and the ability to work autonomously within community and multidisciplinary settings.
You will be confident supporting individuals experiencing long-term sickness absence and delivering
person-centred rehabilitation aimed at improving independence and occupational outcomes.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Significant post-registration experience in specialist MSK physiotherapy.
- Experience managing complex and persistent MSK conditions.
- Experience supporting individuals with long-term sickness absence or reduced work capacity.
- Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work autonomously at an advanced clinical level.
- Strong communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
