Working hours: Weekdays, 08.30 – 16.30 (ideally full time)
Job details:
Speech and Language Therapist required to work within the Neuro Enablement Service, starting ASAP.
The role sits within a multidisciplinary community neuro rehabilitation team supporting adults with
progressive long-term neurological conditions.

- Work with clients with progressive neurological conditions including MS, Parkinson’s disease, MND and Huntington’s Disease
- Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment and intervention within a community neuro rehabilitation setting
- Undertake dysphagia (swallowing) assessments and management independently
- Work autonomously and unsupervised in the community, delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Undertake home visits across the city to assess and support clients in their own homes
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support rehabilitation and quality of life
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
Skills and experience required:

- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration
- Band 6 or Band 7 experience depending on competency level
- Experience working with progressive long-term neurological conditions
- Competent to assess and manage dysphagia independently
- Experience working within a community and multidisciplinary setting
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own caseload
- Access to own transport and ability to travel across the city
