Occupational Therapist (2–3 Roles)

Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting 2–3 Occupational Therapists for locum opportunities within East London Social Services. These positions will support an innovative Reablement Pilot, helping adults maximise independence and achieve positive outcomes through short-term, strengths-based interventions.

The Occupational Therapists will work as part of a multidisciplinary reablement service, undertaking assessments, developing person-centred plans, and supporting individuals to regain confidence and functional independence within their own homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake occupational therapy assessments within a reablement-focused service.
  • Develop and implement person-centred intervention and support plans.
  • Promote independence, wellbeing, and functional recovery using strengths-based approaches.
  • Support adults to regain confidence and skills following illness, injury, or changes in circumstances.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, reablement staff, and partner agencies.
  • Assess needs and identify appropriate equipment, adaptations, and support solutions where required.
  • Contribute to the development and success of the Reablement Pilot programme.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical and case records.
  • Support positive outcomes that reduce long-term dependency on care services.

About You

You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience in
adult social care, community rehabilitation, or reablement services. You will demonstrate
excellent assessment and clinical reasoning skills, alongside a strong commitment to promoting independence and recovery.

You will be confident working autonomously while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to
deliver person-centred, outcome-focused interventions.

Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Experience within adult social care, community, rehabilitation, or reablement settings.
  • Strong assessment, care planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of strengths-based and person-centred approaches.
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working abilities.
  • Ability to manage a varied community caseload effectively.

Contract & Salary

  • Role: Occupational Therapist (2–3 Roles)
  • Sector: East London Social Services
  • Contract Type: Locum
  • Contract Length: Ongoing
  • Working Pattern: Hybrid working available
  • Salary: £34 per hour
  • Location: London Borough of Hackney

Additional Information

  • Part of an innovative Reablement Pilot project.
  • Hybrid working arrangements available.
  • Applications from candidates with longer notice periods will be considered.
