Tripod Partners are recruiting an Occupational Therapist for a locum role within Mid Wales Social Services. This position focuses on supporting individuals to maintain independence through occupational therapy assessments, equipment provision, and home adaptations.
The Occupational Therapist will work within a supportive team environment, delivering person-centred interventions that help individuals remain safe and independent within their own homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out occupational therapy assessments within community settings.
- Support individuals to maintain independence and wellbeing.
- Assess and recommend equipment to support daily living activities.
- Assess for and facilitate home adaptations where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
- Provide advice and support to service users, carers, and families.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with professional standards.
About You
You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience working within
social care or community services. You will demonstrate strong assessment and clinical
reasoning skills, alongside a commitment to promoting independence and person-centred care.
You will be confident managing a caseload independently while contributing positively within a supportive
multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience in community or social care occupational therapy.
- Experience with equipment provision and home adaptations desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
