About the Role

 

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the inpatient therapy team. This role involves delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention to adult inpatients, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary hospital setting.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions for inpatients.
  • Manage an inpatient caseload, supporting rehabilitation, functional independence and safe discharge.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to contribute to care planning and patient flow.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with Trust and HCPC standards.
  • Apply evidence-based practice to support effective patient outcomes.

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with inpatients within an acute hospital setting.
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning and MDT working skills.

 

Working Hours

 

  • Weekdays only.
  • 09:00 – 17:00.
