Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 7 Occupational Therapist for a locum role within West Yorkshire NHS. This position is based within the Neighbourhood Therapy Team, supporting community-based therapy services across the local area.

The Occupational Therapist will contribute to delivering high-quality rehabilitation and therapy interventions within community settings, supporting individuals to maximise independence, improve functional outcomes, and remain safely within their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention within community settings.
• Manage a varied caseload within the Neighbourhood Therapy Team.
• Support rehabilitation, recovery, and independence-focused interventions.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner services.
• Develop and implement person-centred treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Support discharge planning and community rehabilitation pathways where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
• Contribute to high-quality patient-centred care within community therapy services.

About You

You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with strong 
community rehabilitation and NHS experience. You will demonstrate excellent clinical 
reasoning skills and the ability to work independently within multidisciplinary community teams.

You will be organised, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality occupational therapy services 
that promote independence and positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Relevant UK NHS experience (essential).
• Experience within community or neighbourhood therapy services desirable.
• Strong communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
