Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6 Paediatric Physiotherapist for a locum role within South London NHS. This position is based within the Children’s Physiotherapy Service and focuses on providing specialist neurological and neurodevelopmental physiotherapy interventions for children within community settings.
The Physiotherapist will work autonomously across a range of environments including clinics, homes, nurseries, and schools, delivering specialist assessments, treatment programmes, and reviews for children with neurological, neurodevelopmental, and musculoskeletal needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist paediatric physiotherapy assessments and interventions.
- Manage neurological, neurodevelopmental, and musculoskeletal caseloads.
- Deliver treatment and review programmes for children within community settings.
- Work autonomously across clinics, homes, nurseries, and schools.
- Contribute to the integrated Children’s Physiotherapy Service.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, schools, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
- Provide person-centred physiotherapy interventions that support development and functional outcomes.
About You
You will be an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist working at
Band 6 level, with strong experience in both paediatric MSK and neuro rehabilitation.
You will demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning skills and the ability to work independently within community services.
You will be confident managing a varied paediatric caseload while working collaboratively with families,
schools, and multidisciplinary professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Significant experience as a Children’s Physiotherapist at Band 6 level.
- Experience covering paediatric MSK and neurological caseloads.
- Experience working within community paediatric services.
- Ability to work autonomously across multiple community locations.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
- Strong communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
