Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Band 7 Physiotherapist for a locum opportunity with University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, based at Weston General Hospital. Working within the South West NHS, the successful candidate will join the Trauma and Orthopaedics service in a senior clinical and leadership capacity.

The role requires a Band 7 Physiotherapist with extensive Trauma and Orthopaedics experience, including both elective and trauma orthopaedics. Previous Team Lead experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist Physiotherapy assessment and treatment within the Trauma and Orthopaedics service.
• Manage patients presenting with both elective and trauma orthopaedic conditions.
• Apply advanced clinical reasoning to assess, treat, and manage complex musculoskeletal and orthopaedic presentations.
• Develop and deliver appropriate, evidence-based Physiotherapy treatment plans.
• Support patients to maximise mobility, function, independence, and recovery.
• Provide senior clinical input within the Trauma and Orthopaedics team.
• Contribute to effective multidisciplinary working and patient-centred care.
• Provide clinical leadership and support within the service.
• Apply previous Team Lead experience to support effective service delivery and team working.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure professional standards are upheld.

About You

You will be an experienced Band 7 Physiotherapist with specialist Trauma and Orthopaedics experience. You must have experience across both elective and trauma orthopaedics and previous Team Lead experience.

You will be confident working at a senior level, providing specialist clinical input and supporting the wider team to deliver high-quality patient-centred Physiotherapy.

Requirements

• Relevant Physiotherapy qualification.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Band 7 Physiotherapy experience.
• Trauma and Orthopaedics experience is essential.
• Elective Orthopaedics experience is essential.
• Trauma Orthopaedics experience is essential.
• Previous Team Lead experience is essential.
• Strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills.
• Ability to manage complex orthopaedic presentations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary working skills.
