Job Title: Occupational Therapist Location: Devon County Council – Tiverton Community Hospital Area: Devon Social Services Salary: £35ph Job Type: Locum Contract Length: Ongoing Job details: 2x Occupational Therapists required to support the Community Health & Social Care Teams for 12 weeks initially. Covering the Mid-Devon area – Tiverton, Cullompton, Crediton & Okehampton. There will be flexibility on work base, but work may cover across the teams. The CHSCs consist of Social Workers, Social Care Assessors & Occupational Therapists. The team work closely with colleagues in Health teams. They cover a predominantly rural area supporting individuals aged 18 through to end of life with a range of presenting needs & diagnoses, living in their own homes & other community settings (supported living, care homes, etc.). Skills/experience: ideally experienced in Moving & Handling work and possibly some Disabled Facilities Grants work. Familiarity with aids & adaptations, risk assessments, mental capacity assessments & best interest decisions would be beneficial, as well as experience of complex presentations & case management.
