Tripod Partners are recruiting an Occupational Therapist for an urgent locum role within East London Social Services. This position sits within the Enabling Independence Team, supporting adults to maximise independence and improve outcomes within community settings.
The Occupational Therapist will manage a focused caseload, completing assessments and interventions that support individuals to remain safe and independent within their own homes. The role offers flexible hybrid working and the opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out occupational therapy assessments within community settings.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 4 cases per week.
- Support individuals to maximise independence and wellbeing.
- Recommend equipment, adaptations, and interventions where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with statutory and professional standards.
- Contribute to person-centred care planning and support delivery.
About You
You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience working within
adult social care or community services. You will demonstrate strong assessment and
clinical reasoning skills, alongside the ability to manage cases independently.
You will be organised, adaptable, and committed to delivering strengths-based interventions that support
independence and positive outcomes for service users.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience within adult social care or community occupational therapy services.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Car driver not essential.

- Contract Length: Ongoing
- Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days office based / 2 days home working
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday
- Salary: Up to £38 per hour (depending on experience)
