We are seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join Hertfordshire County Council’s Adult Care Services, based across our Apsley and Farnham House offices. This community-focused role specialises in moving and handling, as well as the provision of equipment and adaptations to support adults in maintaining independence and safety in their own homes. You will work within a supportive team, carrying out holistic assessments and delivering tailored interventions that make a real difference in people’s lives.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments focusing on moving and handling needs, equipment provision, and home adaptations

  • Develop and implement person-centred intervention plans to promote safety, independence, and wellbeing

  • Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and multidisciplinary teams across health and social care

  • Advise on and arrange the installation of specialist equipment and major/minor adaptations

  • Maintain accurate case records in line with professional, legal, and organisational requirements

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to service improvements within the team
