Hertfordshire County Council is seeking 3 Occupational Therapists to join its Enablement Team in Apsley. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified Occupational Therapists who are passionate about strengths-based practice, rehabilitation and supporting people to maximise their independence within the community.

The successful Occupational Therapists will complete holistic assessments, deliver goal-focused rehabilitation and enablement programmes, and recommend appropriate equipment, adaptations and practical solutions. You will work collaboratively with health, social care and community partners to achieve positive outcomes and reduce reliance on long-term care.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete holistic Occupational Therapy assessments within community settings.
• Identify individual needs, strengths and goals through person-centred assessment.
• Deliver goal-focused rehabilitation and enablement programmes.
• Support people to develop skills and maximise their independence.
• Recommend appropriate equipment, adaptations and practical solutions to support individual needs.
• Work proactively to reduce reliance on long-term care where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with health, social care and community partners.
• Contribute to coordinated, person-centred approaches that support positive outcomes.
• Apply professional Occupational Therapy knowledge and clinical reasoning to assessment and intervention.

About You

We are looking for qualified and motivated Occupational Therapists who are passionate about strengths-based practice and promoting independence. You will have excellent communication and assessment skills and be confident working with people in community settings.

Experience within community Occupational Therapy, rehabilitation, enablement or adult social care would be desirable. You will be committed to helping people achieve their goals and maximise their independence through effective, outcome-focused Occupational Therapy interventions.

Requirements

• Qualified Occupational Therapist.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Excellent communication and assessment skills.
• Passion for strengths-based practice and promoting independence.
• Ability to complete holistic Occupational Therapy assessments.
• Ability to deliver goal-focused rehabilitation and enablement programmes.
• Experience in community, rehabilitation, enablement or adult social care settings is desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively with health, social care and community partners.
