Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for an RMN to work in the Single Point of Access Service in Cambridgshire

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Triage and assess referrals from a variety of sources, including GPs, social services, and self-referrals, to determine the most appropriate level of mental health intervention.
  • Conduct telephone and face-to-face mental health assessments, identifying urgent and routine mental health needs, risk factors, and crisis situations.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and signposting to appropriate mental health services, ensuring individuals are referred to the correct pathways, including community mental health teams, crisis services, or secondary care.
  • Manage and prioritise a caseload of patients, ensuring timely responses and interventions based on clinical need and service demand.
  • Work collaboratively with other services including primary care, secondary care, voluntary organisations, and social care to ensure seamless transitions and holistic care coordination for patients.
  • Deliver brief, evidence-based interventions via telephone or face-to-face where appropriate, providing immediate support and guidance for individuals in mental health crises.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to junior staff and support workers, ensuring high standards of care and promoting professional development.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, ensuring all contacts, assessments, and care plans are recorded in line with organisational and professional standards.
  • Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives, ensuring the SPA service remains responsive, efficient, and aligned with best practices in mental health care.
  • Ensure safeguarding concerns are promptly identified, assessed, and reported in line with safeguarding protocols and legal frameworks.

Position Details:
Work Pattern: 7 days a week, Morning, Afternoon & Nights

Duration: Initially 3 months likely to be extended further 
Umbrella Rate: Weekday £25.66 Saturday/Nights £31.57 Sundays/BH £38.55
Pay Type: Umbrella or PAYE available

Requirements:

  • Valid Nursing NMC Pin
