RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse)

TTripod Partners are currently recruiting for a RMN Team Lead to work a variety of block bookings in Cambridgeshire
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients with complex mental health needs, ensuring that high standards of care are consistently delivered across the ward.
- Supervise and support junior nursing staff, including Band 5 RMNs and healthcare assistants, providing mentorship, guidance, and ensuring professional development.
- Coordinate and lead the multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, contributing to the formulation of comprehensive care plans and making key decisions on patient care.
- Take charge of the ward during shifts, ensuring the effective and efficient management of resources, patient flow, and safety across the ward.
- Conduct clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to improve care standards and ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and organisational policies.
- Provide specialist advice and interventions in managing challenging behaviours, mental health crises, and complex cases, ensuring that care is tailored to individual needs.
- Act as a key point of contact for external agencies, such as social services and crisis teams, ensuring smooth transitions of care and coordination of aftercare services.
- Support the implementation of the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007), including attending Mental Health Tribunals and Care Programme Approach (CPA) reviews, ensuring patient rights are maintained.
Position Details:
Work Pattern: 12 hours shifts, 7 days a week, Days & Nights
Duration: Initially 3 months likely to be extended further
Umbrella Rate: Weekday £25.66 Saturday/Nights £31.57 Sundays/BH £38.55
Pay Type: Umbrella or PAYE available
