Band 5 Locum Pharmacy Technician – within The Medicines Management Team

Full Address: Based in Luton but will require to attend domiciliary visits.
Role is Hybrid
Start Date: ASAP
Placement Length: 12 Weeks
Working Pattern: 2-3 Days per week (15-22.5 hours)

Skills:
BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Services sufficient for registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council

  • Significant experience of medicine management and understanding its application in community settings
  • Good up to date knowledge of drug use
  • Understanding of issues involved in stock control
  • Understanding of importance of monitoring quality of service
  • Understanding of the need of confidentiality awareness at all times
  • CPD portfolio demonstrating substantive experience of competent pharmacy practice.
  • Post-qualification showing evidence of;
  • Validated competence in dispensary services
  • Experience of working to standard operating procedures
  • Experience of contributing to standard operating procedures
  • Customer orientated services
  • Experience of patient medication counselling
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and autonomous working
  • Demonstrate an understanding of primary and secondary care prescribing in relation to improving patient safety and medication
  • optimisation
