Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6 Physiotherapist for a locum role within North East London NHS. This position sits within an Intensive Rehabilitation and Therapy Service, delivering community-based rehabilitation to support patients following illness or hospital admission.
The Physiotherapist will carry out independent assessments, deliver treatment programmes, and support discharge planning within a community rehabilitation team. The role focuses on improving functional ability, promoting independence, and supporting safe transitions from hospital to home.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out physiotherapy assessments within a community rehabilitation setting.
- Develop and implement treatment plans using clinical reasoning and outcome measures.
- Manage a caseload independently, planning and prioritising workload effectively.
- Support discharge planning to ensure safe transitions from hospital to community.
- Deliver rehabilitation interventions to improve mobility and independence.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
About You
You will be a qualified Physiotherapist with post-qualification experience within
NHS services, ideally in community or rehabilitation settings. You will demonstrate strong
clinical reasoning and the ability to manage a caseload independently.
You will be confident delivering rehabilitation programmes and supporting discharge planning within a
multidisciplinary team environment.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Post-qualification NHS experience.
- Experience within community or rehabilitation settings desirable.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence desirable due to the community-based role.
Contract & Salary
- Role: Physiotherapist – Band 6

- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30
- Flexibility: Part-time considered (minimum 3 days / 22.5 hours)
- Working Pattern: Agile working in place
- Salary: Negotiable
