Job details:  Intensive Rehab & Therapy Serv. Occupational Therapist looking to develop advanced and specialist skills in Emergency Care. The role includes seeing a range of patients with a particular focus on frailty within the emergency department supporting admission avoidance and safe, prompt return to the community. Skills/experience: Clinical experience in the setting. The OT would be responsible for operational management and leadership deputising for line manager and lead the team where necessary. To use expert OT knowledge and advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide specialist support and advice to the therapy team and other healthcare staff, and to manage own complex caseload of patients with highly complex discharge planning and admission avoidance support as an autonomous practitioner. To ensure a high quality and effective therapy service at front door of hospital. Working hours: 7-day flexible working, Monday - Friday 8-4 or condensed hours 8-6 four days a week.

Job Title:  Respiratory Nurse/Physiotherapist – Band 7  (2 roles)

Job details: Will be mix of agile/remote working. Work on Respiratory Virtual Ward; patients with respiratory disease are discharged from hospital and monitored/managed at home by the Virtual Ward team. To assess and treat respiratory infections, prevent admission, optimise medications and discharge appropriately. Work with staff in community and acute services. Skills/experience: Minimum 3 years post qualifying. Experience of working primarily with respiratory patients and/or experience of managing respiratory patients with acute illness (eg. in A+E or rapid response) is essential. Experience of community working is desirable. Car driver essential. Working hours: 37.5 hours per week. To cover 09.00 – 17.00, 7 days/week on rota basis.
