Job details:  Intensive Rehab & Therapy Serv. Occupational Therapist looking to develop advanced and specialist skills in Emergency Care. The role includes seeing a range of patients with a particular focus on frailty within the emergency department supporting admission avoidance and safe, prompt return to the community. Skills/experience: Clinical experience in the setting. The OT would be responsible for operational management and leadership deputising for line manager and lead the team where necessary. To use expert OT knowledge and advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide specialist support and advice to the therapy team and other healthcare staff, and to manage own complex caseload of patients with highly complex discharge planning and admission avoidance support as an autonomous practitioner. To ensure a high quality and effective therapy service at front door of hospital. Working hours: 7-day flexible working, Monday – Friday 8-4 or condensed hours 8-6 four days a week.
