Adult Social Worker (London Borough of Hillingdon)

Job Overview

We are recruiting a dedicated **Adult Social Worker (Qualified Social Worker – QSW)** to join the **London Borough of Hillingdon’s Adults’ Services team**. In this role, you will work with adults who have care and support needs, carrying out assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and delivering person-centred interventions that promote wellbeing and independence.

As a Qualified Social Worker, you will manage a varied caseload, provide professional expertise, and work in partnership with individuals, families, and multi-agency partners to ensure positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake Care Act 2014 assessments to identify needs, strengths, and risks.

Develop, implement, and review personalised care and support plans.

Manage safeguarding enquiries in line with statutory guidance.

Carry out Mental Capacity Act assessments and contribute to best-interest decisions.

Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for panels, reviews, and legal proceedings.

Work directly with adults, families, and carers to promote independence and wellbeing.

Collaborate with health professionals, housing services, and voluntary organisations to deliver integrated support.

Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in line with legislation and local authority policies.

Contribute to reflective supervision, team learning, and service development.

About You

You are a committed and resilient social worker with post-qualification experience in adults’ services. You are confident in safeguarding practice, assessment work, and managing complex cases while ensuring service users remain at the centre of your practice.

Requirements

Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with registration to **Social Work England**.

Experience working in Adults’ Services, including safeguarding and complex casework.

Good knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and adult safeguarding frameworks.

Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.

Ability to manage a demanding caseload effectively.
