Job Title: Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Band 6 (Part time)
Location: Blackburn with Darwen Council, North West Social Services
Salary: Up to £41/hour
Contract Type: Locum, Ongoing
Hours: 3 days per week (flexible)
Role Overview:
Work as part of a new team supporting children and young people with disabilities. Conduct home and school visits, provide OT assessments, and oversee equipment reviews and property adaptations. Participate in the Disabled Facilities Grant operational group.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct specialist OT assessments for children with disabilities.

Recommend equipment and adaptations to maximise independence at home and school.

Work within Council policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
-
Collaborate with a team of OTs and OT Assistants and liaise with Children’s Disability Service and SEND Services.
Experience/Skills Required:
-
HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist (BSc, MSc, or Diploma).
-
Paediatric experience desirable but not essential.
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Commitment to supporting children and continuous learning.
