ICU Nurse – Intensive Care Unit
Tripod Partners are looking for experienced ICU Nurses to join the Intensive Care Unit in Torquay. This is a full-time role requiring 7-day availability for a minimum 3-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced critical care to patients requiring high-dependency support, including those on ventilators and continuous monitoring.
- Perform detailed patient assessments, ensuring rapid response to any clinical deterioration.
- Administer IV medications, controlled drugs, sedation, and life-supporting treatments as per ICU protocols.
- Work alongside consultants, anaesthetists, and critical care teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Provide effective airway management, including endotracheal intubation assistance and tracheostomy care.
- Offer support and guidance to families, keeping them informed on treatment plans and patient progress.
Position Details:
- Location: Torquay
- Work Pattern: Full-time, 7 days a week (Days, Nights, and Weekends)
- Contract Length: 3 months minimum
- Rates:
- Weekday: £26.00 per hour
- Nights & Saturdays: £32.00 per hour
- Sundays & Bank Holidays: £40.00 per hour
- Pay Type: Umbrella or PAYE available
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with valid NMC registration.
- Significant ICU or critical care experience, handling complex and high-acuity cases.
- Ability to manage emergency situations, advanced life support protocols, and intensive monitoring systems.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
