Contract Length: Full-time, minimum 3 months (potential for extension)
Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced and versatile Theatre Nurses to join a leading surgical team in Poole. This opportunity is open to professionals specialised in Scrub, Anaesthetics, Recovery, Circulating, and Surgical First Assistance. If you thrive in a fast-paced theatre environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional perioperative care, we want to hear from you!
The role covers various surgical specialities, including orthopaedics, general surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, and urology, ensuring a varied and rewarding experience.
Key Responsibilities:
? Scrub Nurse – Assist surgeons with instrumentation, ensuring a sterile surgical field.
? Anaesthetic Nurse – Support with pre-op preparation, anaesthetic administration, and patient monitoring.
? Recovery Nurse – Provide post-operative care, pain management, and patient monitoring.
? Circulating Nurse – Manage equipment, documentation, and assist with intraoperative needs.
? Surgical First Assistant – Provide hands-on surgical support alongside consultants.
? Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the wider MDT to optimise patient outcomes.
? Maintain strict infection control and theatre safety standards.
Requirements:
? Valid NMC Registration (or HCPC for ODPs)
? Minimum 1 year of theatre experience
? Competency in at least one of the following areas: Scrub, Anaesthetics, Recovery, Circulating, or First Assistance
? Knowledge of perioperative care standards, infection control, and patient safety measures
? Availability for rotational shifts, including evenings and weekends
