Role Overview:
Wakefield CAMHS is seeking an experienced CAMHS Practitioner to join the Single Point of Access Team. The role involves processing referrals, triaging cases, and assessing their appropriateness for the service. The successful candidate will have strong communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to manage risk effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess referrals and determine suitability for CAMHS services.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures.
- Provide advice and strategies for managing low mood and anxiety.
- Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure patients receive appropriate care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with NHS policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working in CAMHS or a similar mental health service.
- Strong risk assessment and management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
