This senior role involves managing complex safeguarding cases, supporting and supervising frontline social workers, and ensuring high-quality interventions that protect children from harm. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, sound knowledge of statutory frameworks, and a commitment to promoting positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a caseload of high-risk child protection cases, ensuring statutory duties are met and children’s welfare is prioritised.

Provide professional supervision, support, and mentorship to social workers and other team members, fostering reflective practice and continuous learning.

Coordinate multi-agency child protection conferences, core groups, and strategy meetings to develop effective safeguarding plans.

Contribute to service development, quality assurance, and audit processes to maintain and improve the effectiveness of child protection services.
