View JobThe London Borough of Bexley is seeking an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Adult Safeguarding Team. This vital role involves leading Section 42 enquiries, managing complex safeguarding cases, and ensuring that adults at risk are protected from harm while upholding their dignity, rights, and independence. Our approach is strengths-based, person-centred, and fully aligned with the principles of the Care Act 2014 and Making Safeguarding Personal.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, assessing risk and taking proportionate, person-led action in line with statutory duties.

Work collaboratively with individuals, families, care providers, health professionals, and legal services to ensure safe and sustainable outcomes.

Complete capacity assessments and Best Interests decisions in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and apply Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) where appropriate.

Maintain timely, accurate case records and produce safeguarding reports that meet legal, policy, and procedural standards.
