The role involves undertaking specialist interviews and assessments with children and young people who are alleged victims or witnesses in cases of abuse or harm. You will work closely with multi-agency partners including the police and legal services to gather accurate, reliable evidence to support safeguarding and legal processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Achieving Best Evidence interviews with children and young people, ensuring a child-centred, sensitive, and legally compliant approach.

Work collaboratively with police, legal professionals, and safeguarding teams to provide expert social work input.

Prepare detailed reports and provide evidence in court or child protection proceedings as required.

Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with Lewisham Council policies and statutory guidance.
