Orkney Islands Council is seeking an experienced and qualified Independent Form F Assessor to undertake fostering assessments in line with the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) guidelines and fostering regulations. The successful assessor will be responsible for completing high-quality, analytical Form F assessments within agreed timescales, ensuring all prospective foster carers meet the standards required for approval.
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake full Form F assessments of prospective foster carers, including home visits, background checks, and interviews with applicants and family members.

Prepare detailed, evidence-based reports for Fostering Panel in accordance with national guidance and local policies.

Attend Fostering Panel to present assessments and respond to any queries or recommendations.

Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries, ensuring assessments are fair, balanced, and safeguarding-focused.
