Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a qualified and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work with adults in community and general medicine settings. This role focuses on delivering high-quality occupational therapy while contributing to Best Interest Assessments (BIA), with a strong emphasis on moving and handling, and the provision of equipment and adaptations to support independence and safety.

  • Undertake comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for adults in community and general medicine settings.

  • Contribute to Best Interest Assessments (BIA), ensuring patient-centred, ethical, and legally compliant decision-making.

  • Develop and implement individualised intervention plans to promote independence, safe mobility, and daily living skills.

  • Provide specialist advice on moving and handling, equipment, and adaptations to optimise patient safety.

  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.

  • Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance occupational therapy provision.
