About the Role

 

Croydon Social Services is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Complex Team. This role focuses on delivering specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions, with a particular emphasis on major adaptations and Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs), supporting adults with complex needs to live as independently and safely as possible.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Undertake comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for adults with complex needs.
  • Lead on major adaptations, including assessment, recommendation and progression of Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs).
  • Work collaboratively with service users, carers, housing colleagues and partner agencies.
  • Provide specialist advice to support safe, appropriate and timely adaptations.
  • Manage a complex caseload autonomously, prioritising risk and need.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with local authority and professional standards.

 

Skills & Experience Required

 

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Experience working within adult social care.
  • Proven experience with major adaptations and DFG processes.
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently within a complex team environment.
  • Excellent communication and partnership-working skills.
