This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver highly specialist care for adults with complex needs, while contributing to service development and supporting colleagues within a dynamic multidisciplinary environment.

Provide highly specialist assessment, diagnosis, and management of adults with complex speech, language, communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) needs across inpatient settings.

Deliver expert input to patients with learning disabilities, general medical conditions, and co-morbidities, ensuring evidence-based and person-centred care.

Lead and develop the Speech and Language Therapy service within the unit, supporting service improvement, innovation, and high clinical standards.

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and carers to promote safe and effective care pathways.

Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentorship to junior staff and students, fostering professional development and reflective practice.

Contribute to service evaluation, research, and audit to support quality improvement and compliance with national guidelines and HCRG Care Group priorities
