Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a qualified and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the adult inpatient team. This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality occupational therapy for adults in acute general medical settings, promoting independence, functional recovery, and safe discharge within a multidisciplinary environment.

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for adult inpatients with acute and general medical conditions.

  • Support patients to develop independence in activities of daily living and functional mobility.

  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care and effective discharge planning.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, care pathways, and rehabilitation programmes.

  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff, therapy assistants, and students.

  • Participate in service evaluation, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance standards of occupational therapy practice.
