This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality occupational therapy for adults in acute general medical settings, promoting independence, functional recovery, and safe discharge within a multidisciplinary environment.

Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for adult inpatients with acute and general medical conditions.

Support patients to develop independence in activities of daily living and functional mobility.

Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care and effective discharge planning.

Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, care pathways, and rehabilitation programmes.

Provide guidance and support to junior staff, therapy assistants, and students.

Participate in service evaluation, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance standards of occupational therapy practice.
