View JobNewham Council is seeking a skilled and dedicated Children’s Social Worker to join their Child in Need (CIN) Team on a locum basis. This role offers an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families, working within a supportive and fast-paced environment committed to achieving positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of children in need, ensuring assessments and interventions promote child welfare and safety.

Undertake Child in Need and Child Protection assessments under statutory guidance.

Develop and review robust CIN and CP plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies.

Conduct direct work with children and families to build resilience and reduce risks.

Participate in multi-agency meetings, including strategy discussions, case conferences, and core groups.

Prepare clear, concise reports and maintain accurate, up-to-date case records in line with legislation and best practice.
