View JobBrent Council is seeking an experienced and proactive Child Protection Social Worker to join their frontline safeguarding services on a locum basis. This role is suited to a practitioner with strong statutory experience who is committed to safeguarding children and achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable families.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection and Child in Need plans.

Undertake thorough assessments, including Section 47 investigations, to identify risks and inform care planning.

Develop and review Child Protection and CIN plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies.

Undertake direct work with children and their families to reduce risks and improve outcomes.

Prepare high-quality, evidence-based reports for child protection conferences, Looked After Children reviews, and court proceedings.

Ensure all work complies with current legislation, statutory guidance, and local policies.
