Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Band 6 (Part Time, Locum)

Role Overview
A Band 6 Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist is required for a short-term, part-time locum placement within Children’s Therapies. This role is suitable for an experienced paediatric OT with a strong background in clinic-based assessments and intervention.
Main Responsibilities
- Undertake assessment and review appointments for a general paediatric clinic population.
- Work with children with ASD, sensory processing difficulties and physical disabilities.
- Develop therapy programmes and complete reports.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and note keeping on EMIS.
- Liaise effectively with other professionals involved in the child’s care.
- Attend relevant multidisciplinary meetings as required.
Skills & Experience Required
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
- Previous paediatric clinic experience.
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder and sensory processing difficulties.
- Experience supporting children with physical disabilities.
- Strong clinical assessment, reporting and communication skills.
Working Hours
Part time – 15 hours per week
Working hours between 08.00 – 16.00
30-minute unpaid break
