View JobNewham Council is seeking an experienced and committed Qualified Social Worker to join their Children in Need (CIN) team on a locum basis. The role involves working with children and families requiring support under Section 17 and safeguarding services to promote safety, stability, and improved outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of children and families requiring statutory intervention under CIN, Child Protection, or Looked After frameworks.

Undertake assessments and develop outcome-focused care plans in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and Working Together guidance.

Build strong, supportive relationships with children and families to enable change and positive engagement.

Prepare and present high-quality reports for case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings where necessary.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding and family support.

Maintain accurate case records and ensure all statutory timescales and procedures are met consistently.
