Provide expert advice, mentoring, and reflective supervision to social workers and students, promoting high standards of professional practice across the children’s services team.

Support the development and implementation of robust, child-centred care and protection plans that safeguard and improve outcomes for vulnerable children and their families.

Lead and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding work, including strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and court proceedings.

Drive practice development through quality assurance activities, such as audits, feedback, and involvement in service improvement initiatives within Middlesbrough Borough Council.

Ensure all casework is compliant with Social Work England standards and council policies, maintaining accurate and timely records and supporting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
