About the Role
St Richard’s Hospital is seeking an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Orthopaedics team. This role covers both trauma and elective orthopaedic wards, delivering timely and effective rehabilitation to support recovery, mobility and safe discharge planning.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patients on trauma and elective orthopaedic wards.
- Support early mobilisation, functional rehabilitation and safe discharge planning.
- Apply evidence-based practice and strong clinical reasoning to deliver high-quality care.
- Work collaboratively within the MDT to support patient flow and effective communication.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with HCPC and Trust standards.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the orthopaedic service and patient-centred pathways.
Requirements
- HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
- Experience in orthopaedics (trauma and/or elective) highly desirable.
- Strong assessment and treatment skills in acute inpatient settings.
- Excellent MDT working, communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30.
