Provide strong leadership, supervision, and professional oversight to social workers, ensuring effective practice, reflective learning, and continuous professional development.

Oversee complex and high-risk cases, supporting decision-making, managing thresholds, and ensuring robust safeguarding responses and timely interventions.

Drive performance by monitoring caseloads, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with Social Work England standards and Middlesbrough Borough Council’s procedures.

Foster effective multi-agency partnerships with health, education, police, and the voluntary sector to deliver coordinated, child-centred services.

Contribute to service planning, quality assurance, and improvement initiatives, helping shape practice and raise standards across children’s social care.
