Undertake statutory assessments under the Children Act 1989 and 2004 on behalf of Bedford Council, identifying risk, need, and protective factors to inform timely intervention.

Manage a caseload of children and families across early help, child in need, child protection, and looked-after pathways, ensuring all work is child-focused and outcome-driven.

Develop and implement care plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals, ensuring the voice of the child is central to all planning and decision-making.

Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for court proceedings, child protection conferences, looked-after reviews, and statutory meetings in accordance with legal and local requirements.

Respond to safeguarding concerns, participate in strategy discussions and Section 47 enquiries, and take appropriate actions to ensure the safety and welfare of children.

Engage in reflective supervision and ongoing professional development, contributing to a learning culture and continuous service improvement within Bedford Council.
