Act on behalf of Staffordshire County Council to lead on complex child protection, looked after children, and court cases, applying advanced knowledge of safeguarding legislation and evidence-based practice.

Provide practice leadership and mentoring to social workers and students, supporting professional development and modelling high-quality, child-focused interventions.

Undertake and quality-assure complex assessments and care plans, ensuring all statutory responsibilities are met and that the voice of the child is central to decision-making.

Contribute to service improvement and quality assurance, including case audits, reflective learning, and promoting best practice across the team.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals, promoting effective partnership working to safeguard children and improve outcomes for families.

Support the team manager in service delivery, contributing to performance management, operational planning, and the development of a strong, resilient team culture.
