Provide operational leadership for an adult social care team, overseeing service delivery in line with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and relevant safeguarding legislation.
Manage and support a team of social workers, senior practitioners, and support staff, ensuring high standards of assessment, care planning, and intervention.
Oversee complex cases, including safeguarding enquiries, hospital discharges, mental health, and learning disabilities, ensuring legal compliance and best practice.
Monitor team performance through supervision, audits, and data analysis, taking action to improve service quality and meet organisational objectives.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practice, and professional development within the team, including mentoring and supporting newly qualified staff.
Build strong working relationships with partners in health, housing, and voluntary sectors to promote integrated and person-centred care for adults with support needs.
