Join Bedford Borough Council to lead and manage a team of social workers delivering high-quality services to children and families in line with the Children Act 1989/2004 and other statutory guidance.
Provide regular supervision, coaching, and performance management to ensure professional development and the delivery of safe, effective practice across the team.
Oversee complex and high-risk cases, supporting practitioners with decision-making and ensuring timely, proportionate interventions that safeguard children.
Ensure that all assessments, care plans, and interventions are child-focused, outcome-driven, and compliant with legislation, local policy, and Social Work England standards.
Lead and promote effective multi-agency working with partners such as education, health, police, and voluntary organisations to deliver coordinated support for children and families.
Monitor team performance through audits, data analysis, and case reviews, driving continuous improvement and contributing to service development across Bedford Borough Council’s children’s services.
