Join Newcastle City Council to lead and conduct complex statutory assessments for adults, ensuring compliance with legislation such as the Care Act 2014.
Develop, implement, and review person-centred care and support plans within Newcastle City Council’s framework, promoting independence, safety, and wellbeing.
Manage a complex caseload while providing guidance, support, and informal supervision to junior social workers and trainees in Newcastle City Council’s adult services team.
Take a lead role in safeguarding adults at risk, including coordinating safeguarding enquiries, attending strategy meetings, and contributing to safeguarding plans.
Collaborate with multi-agency partners (health, housing, mental health, and voluntary sector) to ensure coordinated and effective support for vulnerable adults.
Maintain accurate, timely case records and reports in accordance with Social Work England standards and Newcastle City Council’s policies.
