Brief Job Overview
Paediatric Speech and Language Therapists are required to support school-aged children across mainstream primary schools and special schools in Inner London. This community schools-based role involves travelling between school settings to deliver assessment, intervention, and communication support to children and young people aged 3–19.
Key Responsibilities

- Provide speech and language therapy assessment and intervention within school settings.
- Support children in mainstream primary schools and special schools.
- Travel between schools throughout the day to deliver sessions.
- Update parents and teaching staff on progress and recommendations.
- Complete clinical documentation and update SystmOne with appointment outcomes.
- Maintain internal service reporting including spreadsheets, data capture forms, and daily reporting requirements.
- Liaise with education staff and other professionals to support integrated care.
About You
You will be an experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist with a background in school-based practice. You will be confident managing your own caseload, working across multiple settings, and communicating effectively with children, families, and school staff.
Requirements

- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification.
- Current HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
- Minimum 2 years’ paediatric SLT experience.
- Experience working within school settings.
- Dysphagia experience.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Working Pattern

- Monday to Friday
- 09:00 – 17:30 (9-hour days)
- Time allocated after school hours for documentation, meetings, and reporting
