    Job Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work with HCRG Care Ltd at St Margaret’s Hospital, Epping. This locum role offers flexible, individual-shift work within a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment in Essex.  

     

    You’ll provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment and treatment to adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties, contributing to effective rehabilitation and patient-centred care within the multidisciplinary team.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    – Deliver specialist speech and language therapy assessment and intervention to patients with communication and swallowing needs.  

    – Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes based on clinical assessment and patient goals.  

    – Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and therapy colleagues to ensure coordinated and effective care delivery.  

    – Provide clear advice, education, and support to patients, families, and carers to promote understanding and independence.  

    – Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.  

    – Contribute to service delivery and quality improvement through evidence-based practice.  

    – Participate in handovers and multidisciplinary meetings as required.  

     

    About You

    You’ll be a qualified and confident Speech and Language Therapist with a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You’ll have excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to work flexibly across settings and manage your own workload effectively.

     

    Requirements

    – Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent qualification)  

    – Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)  

    – Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)  

    – Experience in adult communication and dysphagia management (desirable)
