As a Speech and Language Therapist with Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust at Alexandra Park Health Centre, you will work in acute and inpatient settings, providing specialist input within general medicine. Operating at Band 7, you will deliver assessment and intervention to support communication and swallowing, collaborating closely with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes and quality of care.
Undertake comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication and swallowing needs for patients in acute and inpatient settings.
Develop, implement and evaluate tailored therapy plans based on clinical priorities and best practice.
Provide specialist advice, training and support to patients, families, carers and healthcare staff.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care within general medicine.
Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
Contribute to service development, leadership and quality improvement initiatives within the speech and language therapy service.
